Assemblage Madonna Shrine – Shadow Box, Mixed Media Sculptural Collage

This handmade assemblage is an homage to the female principle, whether you name her Mary, Goddess or simply “She”.

I’ve incorporated a bit of rusty metal and ceramic. The color palette ranges from delicate red to rose and earth tones, and contains sparklies and beads against a decoupaged back wall and exterior over mahogany colored wood. The cross is ceramic fired to a high gloss with a beautiful reddish glaze. Note the tiny Madonna upstairs behind the metal grate which is reminiscent of many small saint shrines seen in Italy.

This shrine will stand on a table, but could easily be made to hang on the wall. Please let me know if you’d like to hang it and I at time of purchase and I will add hanging hardware.

The main body measures 16.5 inches tall by 8 inches at its widest point.
